Take full control over delivery dates & shipping/delivery integrations for all multi-recipient orders

These updates make it easier to support real-world gifting and local delivery workflows where each recipient may need a different delivery date, and where delivery apps determine what rates and schedules should be available. The result is fewer workarounds (like splitting sends into multiple checkouts), more accurate options shown to shoppers, and fewer “why isn’t this delivery option available?” issues for support teams.

What’s improved

Reorganized shipping/delivery settings to make it clearer how options behave when you’re setting up Send To Many for storefront multi-recipient checkout and manual imports.

• New “Shipping & delivery rates” settings page: choose the single source of truth Send To Many will use to (1) determine date availability and (2) calculate shipping/delivery rates for the child orders created in a Send—across both manual uploads and storefront checkout.

• The page groups options into clear choices:

  • Shopify shipping and delivery settings (use Shopify’s configured shipping behavior)

  • Bird Pickup Delivery integration

  • Zapiet – Pickup + Delivery integration

  • Custom date and rate integration (use your own API endpoints)

Added the ability for merchants to use their own custom shipping apps to populate available dates and available rates inside Send To Many.

• How it works (high-level):

  • Delivery Availability endpoint: Send To Many sends a shipping address + cart line items and expects back a list of available shipping dates to display in the date picker, plus instructions for how the selected date (and any required fields) should be written onto the generated orders.

  • Shipping Rates endpoint: Send To Many sends a shipping address + cart line items + the selected date, and expects back the available rates + pricing to display to the shopper.

• Use the Test buttons to send a sample request to each endpoint and validate that the response format is compatible with Send To Many.

Updated shipping settings for checkout so it’s easier to configure how shipping/delivery behaves in multi-recipient checkout based on the rate source you selected above.

• Choose whether checkout should:

  • Calculate shipping/delivery rates from the selected source, or

  • Use a free / flat / fixed shipping rate that Send To Many applies to generated orders.

• When using Shopify as the rate source, you can also choose whether to include local rates from Shopify.

  • This option requires a paid annual plan or Growth (or higher) on monthly plans.

• When using Shopify as the rate source, you can set shipping date rules in Send To Many—and now choose whether dates are:

  • Applied to all recipients (single date picker), or

  • Selected per recipient (a date picker on each recipient).
